The world is constantly changing, and it is not the same as when we were children; the environment, the surroundings, and everything is evolving at a dizzying pace. We are in a world full of modernity, and there are many aspects that we do not understand. Still, we perceive that this planet is the only one we have and that we should try to appreciate it, respect it and take care of it (Flores, 2013).
Tourism sustainability has to do with tourism development's environmental, economic and socio-cultural aspects. Therefore, priority should find the right balance between these three dimensions to ensure that tourism destinations endure long term.
Who should be responsible for maintaining tourism sustainability? The task concerns us, whether governments, communities, entrepreneurs, tourists, etc. Everyone must assume responsibility and take care of tourist destinations. We must try to impact these places as little as possible, taking actions in pro of the environment, reducing garbage generation, and taking care of natural resources and the environment in general. We must be aware that what we enjoy today must be preserved so that the following generations will also have the opportunity to enjoy it. It is essential to be mindful that sustainable tourism is a process that requires actions and constant monitoring and to be responsible for our planet.
