IB What does it mean?

 

The International Baccalaureate's (IB) mission is to provide better opportunities to shape compassionate, knowledgeable, and eager young individuals who are motivated to achieve their goals.

 

IB offers an education program that focuses on teaching students to think critically and independently; and be inquisitive, and logical.

 

The IB Diploma curriculum consists of six subject groups and three core components:

  • Theory of Knowledge (ToK)
  • Creativity, Activity & Service (CAS)
  • The Extended Essay.

IB SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Explore access to a special scholarship fund that offers discounts ranging from 20% to 70% to all IB Diploma students who achieve a final score of 29 points or higher and an outstanding 1,800-point result in the academic test during the admission process. The scholarship percentage will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the International University of Cancun according to the regulations.

 

PREFERRED ADMISSION POLICY

The International University of Cancun acknowledges the IB Diploma Program and presents the following advantages:

English Accreditation: Up to six levels of English will be accredited within the University, according to the scoring table defined in section IV.

IB ADMISSION PROCESS

The student (already enrolled) presents to School Services the International Baccalaureate Diploma (and/or certificates) that he or she has obtained and requests the Anáhuac SUFFICIENCY EXAM application form for IB subjects.

The student must fill out the corresponding form that includes the following information: ID, full name (as in official identification or birth certificate), email, cell phone, degree, name(s) of the IB subject(s) that is requested.

School Services tells the student of the result. If approved informs the grade and she/he signs in acceptance so the next steps of the admissioin process may continue.

Once payment has been made, School Services registers the academic revalidation in the student's Academic History.
